
| Microlights (also called Ultralights) were originally hand gliders that had been fitted with small engines, but have now matured into a specifically designed aircraft. Microlights are all classified under group "D" in aircraft rating. They must have a maximum weight not exceeding 390 kg, a wing loading not exceeding a maximum weight of 25k per square meter, a maximum fuel capacity not exceeding 50 litres and has not been designed to carry more than 2 people. |
