A Kea is a parrot, native to the South Island of New Zealand.
These are very curious and intelligent birds who seem to have little fear of people. And
spend most of their time keeping trampers awake at night by rolling stones down the iron
roofs of mountain huts, stealing the contents of unattended backpacks or demolishing the
rubber mouldings and windscreen wipers of cars parked in ski-field carparks. |
