What sort of computer do I need to play
bears?
Check out the minimum system requirements. Bears can be played on older 486's and
standard Macintosh's with 8mb RAM and a double speed CD-ROM. But runs much better on a
Pentium or PowerMac with 16mb of RAM and Quad speed CD-ROM. |

What age is Bears suitable for?
3-8 is what's on the box. But there's plenty of fun for all ages. Children as young as
2 enjoy it as well as their grandparents. If you like Teddy Bears you're sure to like Ted
& Floppy's CD-ROM. |

Will Bears run on Windows NT?
Yes. There is a 16bit version for windows 3.1. And a 32bit version, which runs well on
both windows 95 and NT. |

What sort of music is on the CD-ROM?
There's classical, blues , jazz, some bagpipes and a real groover on the electric
guitar. Its all in 16bit stereo.

How many nursery rhymes do the Bear
Orchestra play?
There are 10 nursery rhymes. Each bear on the
floor in the lounge will play a different tune. The bears on the shelf will take you to
the music score where you can play your own tunes.

Where is Ted hiding?
Ted won't be in the hall, but could be in a
number of hiding places in the study, lounge, playroom or outside. Click on Floppy for
clues.

How can I play the matching
game in help mode?
Press "Enter" (windows) / Return (Mac)
on the keyboard. Then when you click on a word before it is matched with a picture, it
will be pronounced. Press the Enter/Return key again to disable this feature.

How can I go to a specific page in the
story?
Press the space bar during the story title, or
click on the page number at the bottom of the page screen, to go to the page menu. |

How can I stop the story if I clicked the
read button?
If the story is reading without stopping to play
on each page because you either pressed the "R" key during the story
introduction or clicked on the read button in the page menu. Press the space bar, which
will take you to the page menu. Click on Sam to go back to the house or select the page
you want to play in and click on the play button. |

What are some of the hidden things to find?
There are a lot of things to find in Ted &
Floppy's house that aren't obvious. Ted will give you some clues on what to find in the
house and garden. Try clicking on walls, floors and places you wouldn't expect to get a
responce from a mouse click. The hidden things to look for in the house and garden are:
The biplane, Zeppelin, jet, triplane, microlight (Ultralight), hot air balloon, flying
suacer, train, skydiver, kea, snowboarder, snowmobile,and the autogiro (Once it has left
the playroom the autogiro can be found in any of the other rooms). In the story there are
some more things to look for: The Helicopter, Rooster, Dinosaur, Truck (carring all sorts
of desserts), a hopping bear, Panda on a skateboard, and a clown in a car.

What are the shortcut keys?
During the introduction when you first start the
CD, you can use a number of shortcut keys to go to different parts of the house.
"M" takes you straight to the Match game. "S" to the story and
"L" to the lounge. Clicking the mouse or pressing the space bar will take you
straight into the garden, skipping the introduction. During the introduction to the story,
pressing the "R" key will have the story read without stopping to play on each
page. Pressing the number keys during the story introduction will take you to a specific
page e.g. press the key "3" to go to page 3 of the story. |
